It also provides an Acceptable means of Compliance ensuring compliance for EASA aircraft – required under the CPDLC mandate in Europe and accepted by the FAA. What are the key challenges in the Aerospace Test & Development sector, and how will your solution address them?
Controller pilot data link communications (CPDLC) are critical between pilots and air traffic controllers. Communicating by data, whenever possible, reduces unnecessary voice communications. This reduces stress and workloads on both pilots and controllers, allowing them to focus on other matters. Communicating by data also helps avoid any verbal misunderstands. Therefore, testing the proper functionality of this data link between aircraft and ground facility is critical. Traditionally, testing CPDLC involves coordinating flight crews, network providers, and air traffic control to conduct costly test flights. The Airtel DLRT is a unique system which allows such testing on the ramp, eliminating the need for test flights.
