This presentation will be a retrospective on the test activities of Black Hornet, Scaneagle, Shadow 200, Skylark, Shadow 200 replacement and Wasp replacement UAS’, and innovation prototyping of the Sypaq Cardboard Drone, and several UAS sensor payloads through the Defence Innovation Hub drawing out the importance of early engagement with industry, PT&E, limited and pragmatic DT&E for Aussie mods, being pragmatic when it comes to OT&E for MOTS equipment (that makes it look more like V&V), that we have excellent skills in these fields in uniform and contractor workforces, and the emergence of UAS T&E short courses and their relative value. The brief will look at how those lessons were to be applied to the A7003 test program and how those lessons are being applied to A7000-1B test program, and seek to identify themes to be applied across the UAS test community, and into the crewed community.
