Ampaire’s hybrid-electric Eco Caravan development programme builds on the success of the Electric EEL flying testbed. In-house test platforms and processes extend beyond these programmes as we develop scalable architectures across commuter-class, eVTOL-drone, and onboard power roles. Beyond in-house aircraft development programmes, our iron birds and the Electric EEL – an open flying laboratory – are used to validate motors, inverters, fuels, and batteries. The recent award of the FAA’s G1 certification basis – a first for a hybrid engine – demonstrates our dedication to accelerating the entire aerospace ecosystem’s journey towards zero-emission flight.
